Accurate measurement of multiphase flow rates (oil, water, and gas) is critical for efficient petroleum production. While multiphase flow meters (MPFMs) provide real-time measurements, they still face reliability challenges. Three-phase separators are currently used as reference due to their higher accuracy in phase separation. This study presents a data science-based methodology to correlate MPFM data with separator measurements, aiming to calibrate MPFMs and increase their reliability for monitoring and controlling processes in the oil industry.
